Paris Photo Gallery Anthony Galván III
December 2012
The first photographic images came from France in a technique known at the
Daguerreotype invented by Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre who was photographing
the streets of Paris in 1838.
Since his first excursions to document daily
life we have gone to the use of tintypes, wet plates, dry plates, photographic
emulsions and digital chips. Here is how I saw some of Paris in the December
of 2012, in color and black and white.
Enjoy.
Normally I take two cameras and several lenses on our trips. I wanted to enjoy
Paris without being burdened with "gear." So, with one camera and one lens,
an 18-200mm zoom, I walked the streets of Paris. I hope you have enjoyed the
show, we certainly enjoyed the trip.
