Getting there
Getting there is often described as half the fun.Though in today's world of security checks and related things getting there can often be a nighmare. This trip to China was uneventful other than traveling without Joan and leaving on the Fourth of July. At least there were no fireworks to contend with in the air or on the the ground.

This the route I will take.
Flying over Japan and headed for Shanghai Pudong Airport.
Just about there. On this map you can see where Nanjing is in relation to Shanghai..The blue line above Nanjing that goes into the sea is the Yangtze
River, China's most important waterway.
13 hours later its 8:05pm in Shanghai. Now the fun begins.
