Common Crow Corvus brachyrhynchos - One of the most recognized and abundant birds around the world, it's common throughout North America. Smaller than a Red-Tailed Hawk, the crow is also smaller than a raven and does not have the pronounced beak whiskers found on a raven. Crows in my yard take walnuts and drop them on the street to get the fruit of the nut. Backyard, Goleta, California. |
