Common Raven Corvus corax - Found mostly in northern latitude and western portions of North America, the common raven is large, about the size of a Red-Tailed Hawk. It has a pronounced beak and "whiskers" along the top of the beak. It also will exhibit a ruffle of feathers on its throat and when flying, its tail will be more wedge-shaped compared to the rounded tail of a crow. Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. |
