| Gila Woodpecker Centurus uropygialis A common woodpecker found in the Sonoran Desert habitat, it's the male that sports the red cap. It could be confused as an immature sapsucker except for its habitat. This Gila was taking a winter break at the Sonoran Desert Museum, near Tucson, Arizona. |
